I love drawing Ed’s automail. Seriously.
I’m sure this will sound really weird to most of you, but this time, I wanted to focus on the back of his arm. I also wanted to draw the leg, since I’d never really done it before. Thus, much to poor Edward’s embarrassment, off came the clothes. Oh well. Anyway, I can’t say enough how fascinated I am by Arakawa’s concept of automail and how it relates to the human body. That woman is a creative genius. I’ll probably be sketching Ed and his automail in between the things related to the Untitled Project. So don’t be surprised to see more of this stuff at random intervals in the future. --- Sketched in Photoshop with references for the automail arm and leg. Sadly, I do not own Edward Elric, his automail, or his bum. Those are copyright Hiromu Arakawa. Bless her. |
