A commission for my sweetie Lucius. I hope you like it, hon! I was sitting here, wondering what to draw for you and it came to me... Writer's block. Or Artist's block, if you will. It hits us all at some point and it can be one of the most devistating things for the creative mind. Every now and then, however, the creative mind can make something out of it. As I hope is the case here.
Sketched and finished in Photoshop with a reference photo (er... more like a picture on a tv screen ).
Hey this is so freaking real good job. You've improved a lot (I've looked at your old stuff) and this is like... so real. I think it's awesome that you are illustrating artist's block :-D. I'm figuring the red is supposed to be blood (it really looks like it :-D, great texture and everything), does it symbolize anything in particular?
Oh, Willow! It's excellent!!!
The Perfect Drug is one of my favourite video clips of all time. This particular scene... I have the screen capture at my pc, and every now and then I look at it, admiring.
You've done such a beautiful job, congratulations!
It's so nice to hear from someone that I'm improving. That's my goal! Yes, the red is blood spatter... it's meant to be a symbolic way of showing how writers and artists put our everything--our blood and souls into our work.
Thank you very much and I'm happy that you like it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Courage is resistance to fear, the mastery of fear - not the absence of fear.
Now when you submit something it looks like a photograph you just manipulated on photoshop ("Child of the earth" is an awesome example of this)
I really like this picture because of what comes out of it :-D.
